Privacy Policy
Your observation is yours.
This policy explains what Insect Identifier processes when you use visual identification, what remains on your device, and the limited information used to improve reliability.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Insect Identifier mobile application provided by Glipo. By using the app, you acknowledge the processing described below.
2. Data we process
- Observation photos: images you capture or select for insect, spider, or pest identification.
- App preferences: language, measurement system, onboarding state, and notification preferences.
- Purchase status: subscription or scan-credit status needed to provide paid features. Payment details stay with Apple, Google, and their payment partners.
- Diagnostics and feedback: limited technical and result metadata such as feature type, result label, confidence, locale, and whether you marked a result helpful.
- Device and purchase identifiers: identifiers required to protect the analysis gateway, restore purchases, apply premium access, and measure product reliability.
3. How photos are used
A photo you submit for identification is securely transmitted to the AI processing service required to generate a result. We use the image only to provide the requested analysis, operate and protect the service, and troubleshoot failures.
Sending feedback does not upload or attach your observation photo. Feedback contains text metadata only.
4. Services that help operate the app
The app uses a Glipo-operated gateway for secure analysis requests. Depending on the production route and requested feature, image analysis may be performed by Alibaba Cloud Qwen or Google Gemini. We also use Arislytic for product analytics, Adapty for subscription status and paywall delivery, and Apple for App Store billing. These providers process only the data required for their role and operate under their own privacy and security terms.
5. Local storage and retention
Identification history, saved observations, and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can remove saved entries in the app or remove all local app data through your device settings by deleting the app.
Service-side logs and diagnostic metadata are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for security, reliability, legal obligations, and support.
6. Your choices and rights
You decide which photos to submit and whether to send feedback. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable by contacting us at the address below. Identification history and saved observations can be removed in the app; deleting the app removes its remaining local data. We may need limited information to verify and complete a service-side request.
7. Children
Insect Identifier is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.
8. Contact and updates
For privacy questions or requests, email support@glipo.com.tr. We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
